2k6: Corey Koskie - 03-13-2006, 10:01 AM

What is everyone expecting out of him? Can he make it through the year injury-free or will he only get in around 350 atbats? Where should he hit in Milwaukee's lineup? Will he ever hit against any left handers or will Bill Hall be in there? Will Bill Hall outproduce Koskie? That's the real question.

I like Koskie, but as a FBL player, I'd not buy him for more than 400 ABs. The only way he gets more than that, IMO, is if Prince gets hurt or really bombs coming out of the gate, and the Brewers move Koskie to 1b and Hall to 3b.

I'd assume he'll hit sixth or seventh in the Brewer lineup, with the typical lineup being something like:

Clark
Weeks/Hardy
Jenkins
C. Lee
Fielder
Koskie/Weeks
Weeks/Koskie/Hardy
Catcher du Jour
Black hole...aka Brewer Pitcher

Having Bill Hall around could actually help Koskie - he could get 400 reasonably healthy ABs, mostly against righties, instead of playing hurt because there are no other options. Corey Hart and Jeff Cirillo are also around as corner guys and they could even take some time at 1B, or move Koskie over there for a few games.

Think of an injury prone Jeromy Burnitz and you'll be close.
