Jason Phillips ROY? - 08-23-2003, 10:20 PM

I know Webb has been awesome as has Willis, but this kid has got to be considered as he hasnt missed a beat since he was called up. Anyone else think he has a decent shot at ROY?

I don't know his full stats, but I have to believe it will either be Webb or Willis. They have both been awesome this year.

Webb and Willis are definitely ahead of him and Jerome Williams, in my opinion, is also ahead.

Austin Kearns didn't win ROY last year and he hit better than Phillips and Jennings isn't nearly as good as Webb. No chance at all for Phillips but he should settle in quite nicely as the Mets' future catcher (if Piazza gets moved) until Justin Huber is ready.

I don't know about ROY, but he has been a key addition in my league, especially as a catcher.

screw pitchers as ROY, gimmee Podsednik. i cant speak for the rest of the league, but he's been a machine vs my buccos. .300 w/ 25 sb seems good enough to me.
