Nobody knows anything? Guess that means no one wants him and he won't get traded after all.

I hadn't heard anything about it. Outside of Coors, he's not all that good. The Cards might want an outfielder, so might the Giants (good platoon mate for Sanders). In the AL, Boston always wants everything but most of the other contenders are set in the OF.
So you run and you run to catch up with the sun but it's sinking Racing around to come up behind you again. The sun is the same in a relative way but you're older, Shorter of breath and one day closer to death. -"Time" "Freedom is seldom found by beating someone to the ground" - "Freedom" by Amos Lee "You will survive being bested" - "Southern Cross" |

Thanks JC,
I figured he's not exactly an attractive player for a team to pick up. It would make sense that he goes to the Giants and platoons with Sanders...I own Sanders as well. Course I don't think Holly could play right field and he's not gonna take any tie away from the let fielder over there, I forget his name though. The Hold Steady Stevie Nix |

He could end up with the DBacks maybe. They've needed an OF ever since Bautista went down.
(Chuckle.) Watch him go to the Expos. He'd be better in center than Macias! Support your local brewery. Check out my Indians blog at Tribe Ball. Follow me on Twitter. |

long john-
i know you were kidding about hollandsworth going to the 'spos, but its wilkerson in CF, not macias. and wilkerson who i picked up earlier and dropped within a week (like kevin mench) has been HOT. as for hollandsworth, what interested me about that announcement was the possibility of playing time for ben petrick (who qualifies at catcher). think its worth picking up petrick just in case hollandsworth is dealt, or is this rumor total BS? |

If you have a lousy catcher or two, it's a no-brainer, take Petrick. Catchers who no longer catch and who hit are always welcome on my roster--Fick now, Wooten, C. Wilson, etc. I wish he were available in my league, since my second C spot has been a chamber of horrors all year--Lampkin (1 for 25), then Schneider, now Machado for a few weeks unless someone comes over from the AL or I get bold enough to pick up Todd Pratt, who has a bad habit of hitting well until I pick him up (he's done it twice before). Unfortunately, Petrick was overpaid for by a non-vigilant team that never even reserved him when he was sent down, so they get a reserve OF in a catching spot.
![]() I see Holly getting traded, but not within the division, so the Giants and Snakes are out. St. Louis? Seattle? Atlanta (an upgrade over Bragg at 4th OF)? Minnesota? There's always Cincinnati. The Reds are always in the market for OFs.
