Grizzly Man here we come.
Anyone think there may be some foul play of the Nets trying to get a top pick to pair with LBJ if they can lure him? You can read my fantasy football work at Fanball: Owner's Edge |

An 0-4 Thanksgiving Week West Coast trip can get them to 0-17, tying the NBA record for worst start ever.
Then a return home to face Dallas and Jason Kidd to "try" to break the record. oowph DEAD HEAT for 1st at 94-94 as Sept 8 arrives, yikes 1984-90-93-02-04-05-07 champ Judge Jude All-Stars C Montero, CRuiz 6 1B AdGonzalez 39, 3B ArRamirez 32, 13 Loney 19 2B EYoung 5, SS Rollins 40, 2S Reyes 33, UT SDrew 20 OF JUpton 35, Victorino 29, CLee 27, ASoriano 16, Milledge 15 SP Halladay 44, Hanson 5, WRodriguez 26, Cueto 14, JSanchez 10, CRichard 8, Lowe 13, Wolf RP McClellan 10 (for Lindstrom-DL) |

A crucial 'Brooklyn Nets' NY Court of Appeals decision (re eminent domain) may come in about 13 hours - or 37 hours.
Either way, Nets can't be in Brooklyn before fall 2012, if then....... This team is a lot better than the Dallas team just before they drafted Mashburn and Kidd. That team had 4 wins by Valentine's Day, and was overachieving.

Saturday was their first game this season with at least four of their five starters healthy, and it was only Harris' first game back. I frankly believe this team, when it's healthy, will prove better than NYK, CHA, MIN, MEM, SAC and maybe a few other teams before the season's done. That said, I'm not sure this road trip will be conducive to them snapping the season-starting losing streak. The key for the Nets future will be how this team performs in the second half of this season.
As for LeBron, I think if he's looking for a team that under his leadership can be developed into a perennial title contender, he could do A LOT worse than jumping in with Devin Harris and Brook Lopez at PG and C. Those are better complementary players for LeBron than any of the other teams supposedly "in contention" have to offer. I also think Jay Z has some real potential sway with LeBron, but we'll see. |

On Day 5 since I last shaved, it's looking pretty fugly. I'm thinking by the time I get back from the Thanksgiving Weekend, it will at least be starting to look like an intentional beard, lol.

He can also go to Miami and pair with a superstar and Beasley with a serviceable PF in tow, and not pay much income tax. Heck, even 50 games with Jermaine (if he re-signs there). I think Miami has a better shot given he's buddies with Wade, the weather is awesome, and the tax incentives. Lopez and Harris are nice, but not in the same tier as what he can get in the south. He'd never do it, but if Bosh flew the coop in Toronto he could take that cap space and play along side Calerdon, Hedo and Bargnani - again, IMO, a better set of players than can be found in NJ. riff raff I will post wherever I chose..go f yourself. Nets battled vs Kings, but now 0-16 with a Sunday night tilt vs Lakers.

This should solve it - Nets fire their coach
"East Rutherford, NJ- The New Jersey Nets have relieved Head Coach Lawrence Frank of his coaching duties effective immediately, Nets President Rod Thorn announced today. Nets assistant coach Tom Barrise will assume the head coaching responsibilities for tonight’s game against the Los Angeles Lakers. A permanent replacement for Coach Frank has not been determined." FYI, Frank won his first 13 games as a head coach - an NBA record. Almost seems cruel to fire him before he breaks the record for most losses at the start of a season, too.

Kobe 13, Nets 12 so far, but they'll win that one.
Lakers 27, Nets 12 - that's more problematic..... Geesh, I guess I should get out there Wednesday. Lakers up by 20 to open the second. A team with Devin Harris and Brook Lopez shouldn't be this bad, but Courtney Lee has been terrible, and giving away Ryan Anderson with Vince Carter looks even worse in light of the Yi injury. They'd have at least 3-4 wins if they'd kept Carter. It was probably still the right move to deal him, but that never seemed like the smartest trade.
