Everth Cabrera -
11-21-2009, 05:28 PM
I need a SS. Is Everth Cabrera likely a top 50 player this time next year? Top 80?
The full picture is complicated. I am being offered Rich Harden, for one year, and a 6th round pick (#91) for Joey Votto, who is a potential long term asset with our keeper rules. Also in the mix are David Price, Mike Napoli, Everth Cabrera, Buster Posey, and Brian Matusz. You can plug in Napoli, Posey or Matuscz for Harden. Price or Cabrera come higher priced. My first inclination is to go for Cabrera. He comes with an option in round 11. Would you take the deal for Harden, with no oiption? Ditto Price, who has a round 14 option? My locked in keepers are Zack Greinke, Ellsbury, ARod and Brian Roberts. I have options on Werth, Wandy, Heath Bell and some lower rank players such as Cuddyer, Edwin Jackson, Jason Kubel and Chris Coghlan. I won the league, but the runner up had both Sizemore and Reyes. J Of course it's dismissve -- that's what I do! - Wonderboy I can't disagree with anything you are saying in that post. Well said. - cavebird I guess what I'm trying to say is that you and Bhob are both right. - Don Quixote J's point is a valid one - chancellor Now blogging the Chiefs http://chiefschatter.com/ |

His cousin is Pat Listach, so.....
Just kidding. Decent eye here, and the speed's legit.... but not sure he's an uber-steals guy, he has no power, and he could dent your BA. I don't play mixed, but I think "two straight years at an established performance level" is underrated. If you're slotting as if he has that, it might be a reach.... Where is GwynnintheHall to tell us he's been screaming abou this guy for 6 months already?
With the lack of punch in that lineup behind him once they deal Gonzo, Cabrera is a one category guy with his steals. He could steal 40 bags and not get double that in his run total while hitting .260 Site Administrator My Rays blog on the Fanball Blog Network - DockoftheRays.com My Twitter feed Twitter feed for OwnersEdge Newsbreakers Follow RotoJunkie on Twitter The Process Report How far you go in life depends on your being tender with the young, compassionate with the aged, sympathetic with the striving and tolerant of the weak and strong.
