"My son is recognizable in one of the pictures with Richard Jefferson."

I assume he's the one with a tail and breathing fire?

This is an old event but maybe you are interested in it. My son is recognizable in one of the pictures with Richard Jefferson.

Nets beat Knicks, climb to 3-29.

I looked up the 1972-73 Philly 76ers the other day.
Talk about streaky:

- 0-15 start
- 3-9 "hot streak"
- 0-14 to close out the 1st half at 3-38
- win, then 0-20 streak, or 1-34 stretch and 4-58 at this pt
- incredible 5-2 stretch; beat 60-win Bucks, 57-win Knicks (who went on to win their last NBA title), 52-win Bullets, 40-win Pistons, and hapless new Trailblazers
- then close it out with an 0-13 spell for a 9-73 finish

losing streaks of 15, 14, 20, 13....

Nets have won 3 out of 4 to avoid sharing ignominity! Woohoo!!!!

Yes, just the other day I was talking to a Nets official about how the hell the Sixers had a 5-2 streak against great teams.

Basically, one loss begets another - but so does one win.
And this team is not the least talented ever.

Question is whether they slack off now, with the pressure off....

I think they know that winning is more fun and they want to make the best case for themselves individually as there will certainly be roster changes next year. That said, now that they can stop worrying about the record, they'll presumably have less motivation than teams jockeying for playoff qualification or position, but probably more motivation to sustain positive energy than other non-playoff teams.

I went through a reaction like this, about 15 years ago, with the Mavericks. This was before Jason Kidd came out, before Jamaal Mashburn even.

And Wall and Turner join the division - but not on the Nets.

Ouch, though it's not uncommon for a team picking 3rd to pick a better player than the previous two, as it turns out.

Yeah, I'm kinda bummed. I guess they'll now probably go for a big. Favors or Cousins. Either guy could push Yi.
