MVP:
1. RF Milton Bradley, TEX: The story in Texas is Josh Hamilton and his .318/.366/.596 line, but Bradley blows it away with a .330/.452/.628 line and has the Rangers one game over .500.
2. LF Manny Ramirez, BOS: In David Ortiz's absence, J.D. Drew has been getting all the ink, and deservedly so. However, Manny's got a 1.147 OPS in June and is shouldering the load as well.
3. LF Carlos Quentin, CHW: Yeah, pitching's a big reason why the Pale Hose are in first. Quentin's 17 homers are two behind Hamilton's league-leading 19.
Cy Young:
1. SP Cliff Lee, CLE: That ERA's gone up about a full run, but he's still the best pitcher in the AL to date with a 10-1, 2.55 ERA record.
2. SP Joe Saunders, LAA: The lefty is making a name for himself with a 3.06 ERA and has added yet another arm to the Angels.
3. SP Roy Halladay, TOR: The ERA's low, but the team is scuffling, so he's at 8-6, which voters for the Cy tend to dislike.
Rookie of the Year:
1. CF Jacoby Ellsbury, BOS: He's hitting .281/.363/.399 and has an obscene 33 steals on the season.
2. 3B Evan Longoria, TB: His average is still low at .249 but his OBP and SLG are very strong and looks to be a stud for years to come.
3. SP Nick Blackburn, MIN: Still going strong.

No way when this poll started did I ever think I'd be voting Josh Hamilton, Milton Bradley and JD Drew 1-2-3 in the AL MVP voting but Hamilton has been the story of the season but Drew could move up in this voting as he has produced for the Red Sox as Papi gets his wrist better. Cliff Lee carries on as King Felix becomes he only reason to watch M's games and Roy Halladay stays soild Longoria gets desevered top spot but Joba is charging hard on the outside.

Hamilton is still hot, Bradley is a surprise, and Manny is just Manny.
Longoria's home run totals are especially impressive when considering he has so many less at bats than Murphy.- David Pinto, Baseball Musings.- Harry Pavlidis- ROY is a two-horse race . the difference should be that Longoria's meant much more to the Devil Rays than Ellsbury has to the Red Sox.
Has any pitcher meant more to his team than Scott Kazmir?

MVP - Upton is making quite the push for MVP in my opinion and IS the heart of a young Rays batting order. Sizemore is keeping the Indians alive and has really turned it on in June. But Bradley has got to be considered the top player in the American League. He is just raking right now and getting on base at an outstanding rate.
Cy Young - It is impossible to ignore the season that Kazmir is having. It seems every start he goes 4 innings before allowing the first hit. Felix is taking the step I expected at the beginning of the year but could still use a more 'killer' instinct. Marcum has been incredible, regularly going deep into games and making hitters look foolish with his high 80s fastball and low 80s change.
Rookie - There is hardly competition here. Laffey has been solid, but with Asdrubal in Buffalo, look for him to hit the wall. Longoria has been a solid source of power for the Rays and has shown the ability to draw a walk. But Ellsbury is clearly the class of AL rookies. I recall two years ago when he was being compared to Trevor Crowe of the Indians. Somebody is eating crow on that one!
