This is the fourth AL voting period after six seven in the books. The MLB Blog Poll votes on the MVP, Cy Young, and Rookie of Year
candidates in each league throughout the regular baseball season. In
doing so, you get a cumulative snapshot of the award winners, instead
of the single vote. That way we get constant feedback as the year goes
on. The BlogPoll is coordinated and hosted by David Bloom of BaseballHappenings.com.
To access this week's poll, click here. A new poll is posted each week as voters alternate leagues each week.

If you have listened to the RotoJunkie Fantasy Fix, you know that Stephen and I are two of the biggest Josh Hamilton fans around. When a player gets his own theme music on your show, he has reached legendary status. Sure, Jason still shakes his head every time he remembers the Rays exposed Hamilton to the Rule V draft to keep Tomas Perez on the roster, but that's neither here or there. Hamilton is off to a blistering, MVP-caliber start to the 2008 season. The question remains - is it sustainable? Wonderboy - what is the secret of his power?

RotoJunkie is doing well in the NL-Only Tout Wars league this year as the team has been in 2nd-4th place for most of the season. The bad news - it is still 28 points behind the 1st place team. Where did it all go wrong?
Jason Collette drafted the team and he was asked by CBS Sports to write an article about who deserves the blame for the team's performance? There are 29 men on the team, but three main culprits have kept the team from reaching its full potential. Click here to access Jason's article as well as the rest of the articles from the Tout Wars columnists that have appeared on the CBS Sports site this season.

RotoJunkie is participating in a weekly fantasy roundtable consisting of other popular fantasy blogs on the Web. Given that Stephen Webb is a complete Braves homer, and a huge Smoltz fan at that, we let him represent the staff on the roundtable this week.
"The Braves should utilize Smoltz however Smoltz feels that he can help
the team. He’s a veteran and probably a Hall of Fame pitcher who is as
much a “gamer” as anyone who takes the field."
To read more of what Stephen had to say as well as what the other participants had to say about John Smoltz, visit the Newsday site.

RotoJunkie is participating with some other fantasy baseball sites for some friendly fun competition. We pick a pitcher and a player for Sundays and the winner gets to brag about it for a week. For more details about the competition, click here.
Since I am going to be attending the game tomorrow, I went completely homer and took Andrew Sonnanstine and Evan Longoria
